The main reason people part out their aftermarket goodies is because you'll get more for the separate modifications and selling the car standard than you would if you sold the car modified. Generally speaking of course
-
Rubbish Mods can always be removed and sold separately if you want to when it comes to selling the car. But why should you keep it standard just because you're thinking of selling it one day? That's like the people that want to keep the mileage down because it'll affect it's resale value. Basically the same as saying "I don't want to have sex with my girlfriend, she should be pristine for her next boyfriend" @Leejay, do what you want mate. I'd advise doing any exhaust mods before the remap, otherwise it'll need mapping twice if you do that first

You're not helping me Dan

Very, very long shot I know... But does anyone have an aftermarket catback exhaust that they are not using? I've got the standard catback on the car at the moment and the noise is just driving me nuts! I was wondering if anyone would perhaps let me borrow theirs for a couple of weeks until my new one arrives? Pleeeeeease
-
I can take an exhaust off in about 20mins...
-
Big differenc Gudzy Tell you what. Let me borrow your Q300 and I'll show you There are some videos of my exhaust on my progress thread
-
Long story short, some oil got into my exhaust system and obviously absorbed by the material inside the resonator and the box. So it's scrap metal now No fault of Abbey's whatsoever, but it means they've had to stick the stock catback on for now. It rattles and buzzes under the pressure of my new engine and charger and it just drives me nuts was hoping someone had something lying around that I could borrow until Tarmac is back from holiday and we can order the replacement Invidia Q300 for the car

Exhaust still for sale? -
Tell me about it! Hopefully everything will be done in time but not promising anything
-
Depending on stock/delivery times, I might not have my full exhaust system or a full map for that matter... Just warning people No point getting the car mapped if I don't have my exhaust system sorted
-
As on the *other* forum, my Mondeo ST TDCI was one of my favourite cars It'll run forever if you look after it, comfy, nice to drive, easily 50mpg+ and looks good too Can pick them up for peanuts these days and reliability is just as good as the 86

Diesel an option? What type of car? Hatchback, saloon, estate or doesn't it matter? Age/mileage limits?
-
No one wants your exhaust Kev

selling my baby - gt86 one of a kind car - pearlescent white GT86 December 2012
smudge replied to Xrkc6x's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Chris, I know who you are but I have no idea what your car looks like. I don't even know what colour it is Don't assume that we all know your car, because we don't Make a proper thread with pictures, details of the car, price etc and then links to it on the other sites if you want Simply saying "my car's for sale, you all know it" isn't going to get it sold... -

Hmmmm...if anyone else from the South fancies a trip up there then I might be tempted -
Couple of better pictures from day at Brands Hatch over the weekend Also took the car back to Abbey this morning just to check over a couple of bits. I have to say that Abbey's customer service is 2nd to none. I'm worrying over some slight noises that are all normal, but Mark tells me to take the car back into him to check everything over just to put my mind at ease. Not only is their workmanship excellent, they will always ensure you're looked after too 203 miles done now, Mark will probably give me the all clear later today to pick her back up and I can continue racking up the miles over the next few days

Few pictures from Pistonheads Sunday Service at Brands Hatch this morning. Car got a lot of attention And a small update of finally fitting my WedsSport centre caps to finish the wheels off Car is feeling better and better with every mile covered. Just generally staying 1 gear higher than I usually would and changing around 3-4k rpm, occasionally taking it steadily up to 5k rpm on a dual carriageway 103 miles done so far, out again tonight to cover a few more

Today was the day! Picked her up at 9am this morning and chose some back roads for the route home so I avoid motorways while running the engine in As above, currently limited to 5500rpm on a very moderate base map until we've put a few hundred miles on the engine to have the oils changed at the full map put on. At the moment, we're running around 230bhp at the wheels with 1.2bar of boost at 5500rpm, so a LOT more to come out of the engine once it's mapped The biggest difference right now? The NOISE! It's just so awesome Cruising around town you get a loud whistle from the charger around 2,000rpm, then when you boot it the whole car just fucks off, screaming it's way down the road! Took a quick video when I got her home just to get the noise of the charger. Engine sounds like it's knocking but it's just the crap microphone on my camera phone. Engine runs smooth and sweet I'll be doing a couple of hundred miles all on back roads tomorrow The new clutch with the Cusco shift springs takes some getting used to, but the shift is short and precise now. Coupled with the new Arc gear knob, it's a really good setup for the gearbox And of course I had to treat her to a clean after nearly 5 weeks since her last bath
-
Got the call off Scott, we're good to go for tomorrow! Only 1 map for now, limited to 5500rpm which is 110mph booooo Genuinely can't wait to pick her back up in the morning
-
I spoke to him the other day about this and unfortunately nothing yet... Was hoping he could use my Borla UEL in the testing process whilst they had my car in for the engine build
-
Steve are you at the Amber exhaust meet in a few weeks? Might need to grab you to have a play with some settings on my car
-
Popped down to Abbey today after I was prompted by Steve sending me this picture while he's waiting for a service and MOT to be completed on his car Took a couple of pics myself while I was there. I really can't wait to get this back! One of the Abbey guys said they started it up yesterday and it sounded "mint" New oil cooler placed behind the drivers side fog light cover (but I've got the APR carbon ducts so will get some cold air directly onto the cooler)
