Impossible questions to answer really Zen, it's all down to personal preferences I love my 18x9.5 Rays all round but some say it's a bit much I know Lauren prefers to have a bit less grip than I like to have. I chose my Rays mainly due to the aesthetics of them and then my track wheels I'll be looking for something completely different

I'm interested

Technically, it is fitted lol After the OEM drop links decided to f**k up, I fitted the bar anyway in prep for the new drop links pictured above. I'll have it connected this weekend so will report back then. Car feels like a boat at the back right now
-
Just changed the rear for now. Getting a thicker ARB on the front increases understeer on the 86 I've been told
-
Bought some beefed up rear drop links to fit the new ARB. The OEM ones were poor quality and both have rounded off when trying to remove them
-
Nice one Jay Will monitor mine closely now and hope I don't get the same issue

Unfortunately they won't be here for a few more days now Bit of fault on both sides, but due to the Scooby WRX having trailing brakes (caliper sits behind the axle) and the GT86 having leading brakes (caliper sits in front of the axle) the calipers are now essentially upside down due to the differing piston sizes Wouldn't be a problem if all the pistons were the same size, but due to the design, the calipers will be upside down as they are now. Luckily, they haven't left Nottingham yet so the guys at Brake Caliper Specialists are going to get on them again tomorrow, swap the bleed nipples and crossover pipe round to that everything will sit the right way up for the GT86. Although they knew that they were going on the GT86 from a Scooby, I probably should have stated that they need to be built the other way...just an oversight which will cost another day or 2 Oh well, best to get it right than be running them upside down!

Only 2 issues with these new brakes: 1. I can't get my hand inside the wheel to clean behind the spokes, so I'll have to take all 4 wheels off to clean them. Although this does have it's benefits, meaning that I can get inside the arches and clean everything up and also keep on top of the brakes to make sure they stay looking this good 2. I may crash on the motorway as I know I'll be looking in the reflection of other cars to my side as I pass them to see the new shiney buggers! Not sure when they'll be on yet, still a bit of work to do with the rear discs needing to be redrilled and I'm waiting on new bolts to attach the bells back to the brake discs

I'll just leave this here...

Whoever designed the drop link needs to be f**king shot Rear drop links are stuck on my OEM ARB and I'm replacing it with a thicker one. Anyone got any drop links I can have please? Preferably ones which don't have joints and nuts/bolts made from cheese Thanks

When's the work getting done Jay? Report back on If it fixes the issue please, and the rest of us will have to keep an ear out!
-
Nige, just working a couple of bits out but will be in touch soon
-
When are you getting it checked out Jay?
-
Boooooo! The manifold isn't 3" is it?
-
I'm sure you want to sell me the wheels Nige, despite what you said over PM the other week What manifold is on Steve's (your) car?
-
Will keep an ear out, nothing untoward so far and fingers crossed it stays that way
-
Sneaky peak of the front AP calipers being done in Renault Liquid Yellow. Not finished yet but you get the idea Can't wait to get these back and fitted
-
Cheers Nige, will be in touch
-
Any idea of the quoted power/torque ratings on this Nige? Very interested

2nd coat of primer Then all sanded down before 1st coat of paint

Few small updates today. Picked up an 18mm rear ARB from Stu on the owners forum And also started work on the bells of the front brakes. To begin with, they were an anodised gold colour that has faded over time And I wasn't a big fan of the colour anyway. So I began to sand them down ready to be painted 1st coat of metal primer Hope to get a coat of paint on them later tonight

Interested in the Tomei UEL as discussed the other day Mark Keep me posted

I sold these to Adam originally. Great set of wheels. Few pictures of them on my car

I've got 255/35/18 on my 9.5's, perfectly comfortable with plenty of feedback too
