I've read through all of these posts and its good to see there have been no major issues reported. However, i have had a huge problem directly related to the recall which i cannot discuss in any further detail until resolved. Based on my own experience so far I would recommend holding off on having the recall done unless you really trust your dealer.

6kg for the rear

They are £70 plus vat a pair. But no 6kg stock until September. I'm going to run with 7 to see how I get on!

Thanks Lauren. How does a different spring rate between the front and rear help handling? Presumably it helps car balance on cornering - although probably only on track?

Thanks Keethos. What a detailed reply! I think I probably will drop into RRG. I wasn't sure if they did this sort of install, now I know they do, it seems like a no brainer, as it's not too far away for me. I will probably try out the spring rate at 7/7, as you say it's all personal preference at the end of the day. A wheel alignment is a must too!

Hi, I've just purchased some tein streetflex. They are second hand, but they look pretty much brand new. Does anyone have any recommendations on places to fit them around Yorkshire way? Also, current spring rates are 7/7. I see other folks are changing these. Any negatives to staying with 7/7? I must confess that I'm a bit of a noob to all this, so any tips appreciated. I don't fancy installing them and then having to change the set up. Ultimately, I want to upgrade to EDFC in the future, as I intend to keep doing track days, and the adjustability looks spot on. I'm pretty sure i didn't do anything silly to cause the problem, however the more you think, the more self doubt creeps in! As you say, I'm glad it's sorted now. I will continue to run these discs and see how they hold up. This of course means I need to do another track day to see if i can replicate the issue! If they go again I will look into upgrading.

possibly a bad batch of discs? . The dealers replaced mine under warranty with no fuss so perhaps there is a known issue?

Same thing happened to me after the recent oulton park club track day. Brake Juddering was very noticeable at motorway speeds. Took it in to the dealers. They measured the discs and found them to be slightly out of shape. I'm thinking about upgrading mine now.
