Hello All! Been a while (too long) since I posted here, turned into a reader rather than poster but this was a GT weekend, she's cleaned polished and made like new again. A few weeks (months) ago I ordered a set of LED bulbs for the car, rear/side indicators, number plate and reverse are now all LED loveliness, similar brightness but for number plate and reverse a much more pleasing white rather than incandescent orange which matches the factory HIDs much better and the car looks more "modern" at night with LED I've noticed. I've even finally started fitting a proper DAB antenna as I spent so much on the proper Toyota DAB touch and go integrated unit, then never used it because the stick on antenna was naff. But I digress. The front fog lights now look ghastly. I had avoided doing anything to any of the front bulbs for fearing it may be a overly complex task for a simple bulb change, but having the side markers off I realise these and the front indicators are just behind the plastic wheel liner, a simple change. However some posts from 2013 crop up, but there was no definitive answer on which bulbs work best in the existing fog light housings. I don't want brighter, or further, just whiter looking bulbs and match the colour of the main HIDs, preferably in LED but I'm not fussed. Have people had issues with LEDs and heat causing issues with the housing/lens, Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm going to swap out front indicator bulbs for LED that match the rears now so it makes sense to do the fogs at the same time.

I had my 63 GT get its winters on and got a tweak to the tracking as I'd noticed my wheel wasn't dead straight to go straight, it also turned out my rears were basically bald. So new winters and a tiny tiny tweak to alignment...The issue is that car feels REALLY different... I don't think its the tires, loose when new but bedded in now, but the steering is so sharp now it feels like any mildly abrupt movement unbalances the car and I'm going to spin out and die, its almost TOO responsive... Is this just me being weird, it almost feels unbalanced, like it wants to spin out, but yet when I do push it in the corner where I know I can it stays on track and doesn't lose grip anywhere. Or is that I somehow got used to driving on... ah-hem.. slicks for a while?

I've got the "proper" DAB fitted, that integrates with the Touch unit perfectly, it's from a verso but fits the GT. It's not a FM add on its a proper DAB integration with stock head unit.

Things were going well... I jest, I've got to pluck up more courage before I attack my car with a heat gun, I assume the above is what'll happen given my ham fisted approach!

Oooo... thats an idea I wouldn't have considered, I've always found cheapo interior dash wipes do a good job of removing any muck thats in them which hides the scratches, there is also a, for want of better term, polish, that halfords sell that fills in some of the lighter marks quite well. I'll end up posting the photos of my melted door cards now, you wait...

So Toyota are for some reason doing this.... http://newsroom.toyota.co.jp/jp/detail/6004504/ Original 86 is getting revamped power steering and a few other improvements, nothing in the engine though. Thoughts. Plus a few more colours and trips, metalic red, really orange, an a wood grain

There is an option for it to autolock the doors when you set off, I opted not to do that as it brought in my auto fold mirrors as well (I have an add on for that, it wont be an issue on a standard GT)

I hear good things about Netscape Navigator, or the AOL browser works well with my connection.
