Welcome to the club, I was the one who asked you about the book over on PH.

Just checked the date and i'm on holiday .. Hopefully a club meet will pop up that I can actually attend. I think I did, I just followed all the members that added me, will keep my eyes peeled. Will be interested on your experience with the final drive, its on my list of things to look into.

Oh I will, just need to save up ;(. Annoyingly I was supposed to away on Saturday so did not get a ticket. Would love to hear it in person another time. I am also a fan of subtle styling with a well sorted car lurking beneath.

James you are not helping my want for a manifold and map! Car is looking great, look forward to some footage soon.

That's where mine came from, dealt with Grant.

I paid around £75 for my Z compound, don't know if I am allowed to share the company name?

I have the performance friction front pads and rate them highly, never heard a squeal and they were not smoking or fading after 15 min sessions at Silverstone, I had the oem smoking on the road on my test drive. Very low brake dust levels too, much less than oem. Can't comment on durability as they have only been on for 6,000 miles. But they look almost new still. Have also had EBC yellow stuff (new compound) and rate them highly along with ds2500's. Both on other cars, not on the 86. Hope this helps.

Similar to Jay, I like it for looking at stuff I'm into, lots of very cool car related accounts on there. @aj124

Wow! That's a serious cage nige, how many points does it mount to the chassis?

Cheers Nigel, let me know.

Hi Ajay, welcome along. Hope your enjoying it .

Aluminium, can be a bit cold when it's frosty but only for a few mins. It is really nice to shift with so its worth it. Was looking at those the other day, might have to try some when the conti's die. My only concern with them is wet/cold roads, so will probably end up with winter and summer wheels and tyres tbh. Even doing 10-15 min stints has done a lot of damage and wear to the conti's.

Have just got back from my first trackday in the GT86 and all I can say is wow, what an awesome machine on track. Did silverstone national, racked up just over 90 laps and used a whole tank of fuel . Downloading my gopro footage now and will pop some links up over the weekend. Defiantly need track tyres for next time round though, the contisport 5's have taken a beating.

Whiteline shift bush and gear knob. Both together cost less than £100.

Fitted bit of a crap pic it was dark. Looks awesome and took all of 5 mins, I suggest a second pair of hands to get it sitting perfectly first time.
