Old Mini yeaaa new mini. Not a fan at all. Especially all spin off's. Mini SUV, mini town, Mini coupe, Mini city etc... I may have made a few of those up but you get the idea

I want to remove the wheels and give them a bloody good clean this weekend. I have used poor boys wheel sealant twice in the past 10 months but want to try something else to protect the wheels. Poor boys has been good at leaving it easy to remove brake dust and road grime. Just want to try something else I was thinking of getting GTechniq C5 but the only downside is is it's £43 for 30ml. I've not said no to this but what do others recommend to protect wheels. cheers
-
I shall me spending time this weekend taking all the wheels off and giving them a good cleaning and applying the C5 and some way over the top of that if needed
-
As I said ordered Wed, it was out of stock until then.
-
A recommendation. if anyone has not used Clean your car for cleaning stuff give them a go. ordered the C5 and opti seal Wed and arrive yesterday. Top service again from them
-
Bought the C5 and thanks all

Just noticed after looking it's C2.

I have a few GTechniq items. Glass sealant and cleaner and a bottle (unsure the code name for it) of paint sealant I use on the bike which seems to work well and last

Strange one this. i was just talking with a Mate who owns this place http://www.advancedautomotives.com/ just popped in to see what he can do for air and oil filter befor buying online. I was talking about the 0w20 oil that's recommended to use and Nick showed me this http://rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk/store/product/374-5-ltr-fuchs-titan-pro-s-10w-50-engine-oil 15W50 recommended for road BRZ's through Roger clarke motorsport who he deals with a lot. I was to understand both the 86 and BRZ are the same car bare a few badges. Why would their be such a huge difference in what you can you and what others suggest you use. I have Motul 8100 0w20 i'm putting into the car

Well not exactly. My BIL also one of my best mates was also a long time Toyota Mechanic. I would try him with my life and also looking after my GT86. So my intention was to get him to service it and he can stamp the book. He's offered to service my car. All I need to do it get the oil, filter etc... Another reason I would rather he do it is that we can use the best stuff when servicing the car. The car does not need a service for a few months but just getting a list of what I need and what others recommend. I will be getting this http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-875-motul-8100-eco-lite-0w-20-petrol-engine-oil-100-synthetic.aspx I have used Opie oils many times and found them to be very handy. I've yet to check now much oil I Need I have just bought some Evans waterless coolant as i wanted to add this to the car at the first service. http://www.evanscoolants.co.uk/AutoCool.html I run this in my Kit car and have been impressed with it I will need a oil filer, air filter and possibly pollen filter. Anything else I have missed? With regards to oil and air filter what do people suggest? keep with the standard OE ones or Cosworth air filter and uprated oil filter? Just looking for a few ideas on what to look and whats recommended when servicing the car ourselves. cheers for reading Matt

well sold on the C5. Only seen and read positives on C5 So a no brainer really

thanks for the info and I shall have a look. I was looking at the C5 review on Detailing world and someone did a good write up and after 5 months through the winter the C5 was still doing the job after months of grime and road crap was on there. Optiseal also looks very good as well. cheers both for that.

I was in Costco yesterday and walking to the tyre chap about winters for the 86. I said that I was going to get a second set of wheels and fit the Winter tyres to my OE wheels. Then he said Why no look into the Michelin Cross climate. First I have heard of them. http://crossclimate.michelin.co.uk/discover-MICHELIN-CrossClimate.html Seems to good to be true. A tyre thats great in the wet, Cold, traction on Snow and good in the Summer and also give good MPG and low noise I have plenty of meat left on my OE tyres but thinking would these tyres suit a 86? IE would the summer performance for a fast road lat on the weekend find these are not good. Anyone had any experience of these tyres?

Sorry if posted already I have searched and not seen this posted yet Anyone have the latest Banzai mag? Nice little article about the club and support you lot gave to japfest at Castle combe. A few pics and nice little thanks to everyone on their for making the effort to make it the largest gathering of 86's and BRZ Just thought I would mention

It's only a short bit. 1 pic of your cars lined up at the hotel and one of the group area. And a little about the gathering of the cars and that so many had attended the group. One thing it did say at the end was that the people who run this place should have a pat on the back for the effort of arranging it.

I am one of the minority from what I read on forums but I like Chris Evans. One thing for sure is that if there are 3 presenters 1 will be female. BBC said in the last year or so no men only presented shows on BBC. One reason why I fell Top Gear did not last. Even with the issue with Clarkson. Not that I mind, but the Clarkson, hammond and May just worked so well. 3 people who become mates and enjoyed going a show. I feel if their is a female presenter their will not be that glue that bonds them as well. Just a feeling. I do hope Top Gear is very good but I have my worry's it's wither going to try to hard or just flop. Only because of no JC, JM and RH. What does get me about "no men only presented show's" on BBC which I agree with, what the fact that a few weeks ago we have female only presenters on the breakfast news!!! 2 x female presenters, 1 female weather forecaster, 1 female Business presenter. I'm all for equal rights but how can that be right.

I'm not really that fussed. i think it looks good with or without myself
