Lots you can do, my advice is make a list of mods bearing in mind your usage. There is now a host of parts available and some good aftermarket parts from the many specialists you can find on here.

Are they mostly a drift tyre ?
-
All true as you say, I have driven 86's on light wheels and there is quite a difference in feel. For me the cost of light wheels was going to buy a lot of other mods. But nail on the head " seat time with a good driver " is the best upgrade for sure.

I'm not overly bothered about super light wheels, function is more my thing. Lap time difference is yet to be proved and probably is miniscule anyway. There are many other ways to improve the car for me other than unsprung weight And @Lucas@PartBox those 18x9 look the dogs dangles.

No problem had some great results with them, you need to size the tyres accordingly and you gain grip vs nimbleness. Horses for courses I guess. -
Always used ATE in my race cars and road, not expensive and is used by many major players.
-
That' AP but most kits are heavier, and AP is very costly.
-
I have the DBA discs and the pad combo you mentioned, ducting is a good idea also. BBK is very expensive and most likely adds weight too.

They were best for me too

Interesting thoughts for sure and as Lauren says it is more beneficial with a harness on, the way I would describe it is just different. Super sticky tyres require another set of skills and approach. Having driven my car on lots of rubber now I will admit to being a bit bored of just sliding around on the edge of grip limits that a normal road tyre gives, hence the consideration to next years plans. However this is only my personal preferences and in no way dictate what others should do or like, how dull if we all liked the same I'm actually not a fan of passenger rides but would like to go out with Lauren [ if she'll have me ] on a track sometime as she is very good with car control and knows just where the edge is, and I'm sure would show me another side to 86 fun. My main concern at the moment is all surge and temperature, this I intend to address for next year.

Any suspension is subjective, that's why you test drive cars with multiple types. Just takes time and willing owners.

I run Monosport and I changed the spring rates from how they arrive, works great on track ( as results show ) and fine on the road.

Having read various things it would appear a good time of thumb is the price in dollars us what you end up paying in pounds.

Pretty sure the PS4 will be fine next year in N1s as they should be on the MSA 1b list, but the rear seat delete will bump you up into N1Pro. I asked about removing my seats and was told it was not ok if I stayed in N1s.
-
You might PS4 is fine next year in N1s
-
Yep

Thanks, and yes heavier than I thought they would be. But don't get too worried by it on a daily
-
Would you be so good as to weigh them please.
-
you maybe right, but I know what I could go quicker with ........ turbo from @Mike@TD.co.uk

Just stick a turbo on the current 86
