No I was just sat in the bosses comfy chair, I go there a lot as there is a laser alignment rig and a dyno.
-
The ginger had it's first mot today, all well but I bet 12 months will fly by.
-
I took Ohlins off my Evo and these guys sorted mehttp://www.exe-tc.co.uk/ and it was better than Ohlins.
-
I use the Hawk street pads from Fensport. They have been good for TA and the TSS, also silent for road use.

Opinions are just that, a lot of people think my coilovers are cheaper and inferior to other brands but I am happy with the results they give me. I also had a professional driver take the car on circuit and complimented the set up. IMHO do what you feel is right and enjoy your car. There are a lot of people on here with good knowledge including Lauren who is very technical and a good driver also. Onwards and upwards we go.

Just wanted to say thanks to Colin and Jo for a great day on the Drifting and Over grip day on Sunday, I learnt massive amounts of new skills that I will be able to use in my driving. If any of you guys consider driver experience or training then look no further, simply superb value and the best mod for you and your car. I was with people I had never met prior to the day with a great mix of cars ~ GT86 ~ Porsche 911 ~ BMW 1M ~ Lotus Evora ~ Great bunch of guys and we all got on really well.

So any idea of a fully fitted cost of the sc kit from say Fensport etc... Assuming exhaust already done ?

Fuel snob ;-)

Think your right Rob, just expensive trying out a set when scrubbed.
-
Yep it's a tough choice, I run Contisport 5's in the TSS as the class is 1a tyres. They are lacking in dry grip IMHO but very good in wet conditions. Got any multi compound inters lol
-
Lee yes better than 595r and a fair track day tyre as you say, last TA I was on DZ03G and the difference was massive. But to be fair so is the price. With 1a tyres it's very harx to choose, as you have to think of wet performace in this country sadly, think a lot of it is personal choice.
-
I ran NS2r's at the first round of Time Attack and very quicly realised they run out of grip too soon. A reasonable track day tyre in terms of wear etc..
-
1a list is rubbish, nothing very good on track. Also a lot of the new road tyres are not on the 1a list.

Sunday at 11am at Silchester Roman Walls near Tadley,RG7 2HP. It is out in the sticks, satnav will get you almost there.Car park & entry is free,no refreshments/toilets on site but there is a local pub that can be walked to as well as a local church that does cream teas on a Sunday!! There is a height restriction of 6ft ( 1.8m ) going into the car park. If the Roman era is your thing,Silchester is fascinating with it's Amphitheater & town layout. If Roman towns aren't your thing,it's still worth a visit for the walk & picnic, bring the family/dog!!

Have fun Nigel, and do what you want. It's your car.

Local for me so Debs is taking the 86 and I am going on my horse.
-
My 2p worth, having been on the board and forim moderator in a large car club I know just how much work is involved. Since joining the club both Debs and myself have been made extremely welcome. Even being an old guit I feel on an even keel with the younger members, a very nice club to be in and a great bunch of people. Look forward to many more fun times and glad to help out if needed.

Just been out for yet another drive for no reason
KevinA replied to trashy's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Mot driven the 86 for 3 weeks, so went for a blast. More rubber gone ! -
Hi Folks As I am about to come out of contract I thought I would get a members opinion as we are all over the country, although based in the south I do travel a bit with both work and car stuff. Currently with O2 but always seems to be down on signal and decent data transfer. Thanks in advance Kev

Very crudely you could put a small level on the hub and take off of upright, mark the bubble and repeat the other side. Not a good way but might help until you get an alignment done.

Let me know Nigel if you need a driver ;-)

My driving watch.
