    Adjustable drop links

Had this issue already! If links are too long roll bars will scrape the wishbones. Adjusted drop link so that roll bar sits horizontally above the steering arm in original position.

    Best Brakes

Thinking of upgrading my brakes; after my last track day they constantly overheated, rumbled and faded. But I want to keep the brake balance er... balanced. What's best???

It's all Lauren's fault, blame her. Also track day at oulton on 24 jan, if snow has gone.

Yes think so, the thing is standard car is so good I can't see a way to beef up the brakes without changing balance. I guess that's what the hand brake is for.

@Lauren you don't think a bit more rear brake would help the back around?

ummm.... now wondering if i'm looking like a fool. But... with the (my) stock brakes you can hold the brakes on the way in and get the car sliding, and catch it with the throttle. But what happens if you increase the front brake force too much? surely you'll just plough straight on? I don't know but £2000 on 6 pot calipers is a lot of money to spend if it ruins the handling.

Well - when i used to ride bikes, if you lock the front wheel you just end up going straight on.

Phew, hadn't looked back at this post because work was so busy. What a response! I think I'll just keep on with the stock pads because if I fit bigger front discs then it may be hard to get the car sliding on the way in. Upgrade the pads next time maybe. Also have tried lifting off at before the braking points to save pads and fuel; it's quite hard to judge how fast to go into a corner unless the ABS is pulsing away! And will turn of the TC as that seemed to shag the pads and discs last time. Budget is limited because I've got new daily driver arriving in Feb.
