Quick video of exhaust sound and drive by, let me know your thoughts:

Installed the Blitz SUS Induction Kit this Sunday, took me a few hours as mentioned the instructions are in Japanese. I'm not exactly good when it comes to mechanics so if I can do it, I'm sure anyone else on here can. Removing existing air filter and casing Surprising how much stuff comes out!! As you can see I've had a custom manifold system installed last week and as recommended by Spec K I've gone for the HFC. The combination of the exhaust and manifold has now made the car incredibly loud, which I love, I'll upload a video of a start up and drive by soon. And after a quick wash, I fitted the Shark Fin Aerial, makes the car look a lot smoother!

Yesterday I fitted a Blitz SUS Induction kit, and the Beat Sonic shark fin aerial. I then washed my car (not sure if any of this is relevant). After doing this I went to lock the car on the door handle and the car started beeping about 5 times or so, and then the alarm went off. So I unlocked the car via the remote and the alarm stopped. I then tried locking the damn thing again using the remote this time and the same thing happened, leading to me deafening myself. I've tried locking and unlocking it with the handle and remote in different ways but to no prevail. I've looked in the owners manual and it has mentioned that this could be cause by a door being left open or the key left inside the car, which isn't the case. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I'm a bit concerned that when fitting the air filter, I had to disconnect and reconnect a sensor and this may of somehow tripped the alarm / locking system. So anyway basically I have a car that won't lock..... Cheers

Hi Nigel, I've just contacted the Wrexham Toyota and told them to get in touch with you. Thanks very much

Thanks Ian and Rob, I've just gone out and readjusted the sensor, when I was leaning into the engine bay I must of lent on it moving it out of place. It all works now! Muchas Gracias!!

Got a few goodies in the post today from Fensport. SUS Power Induction Kit and a Beat Sonic aerial. I seriously regret never learning Japanese after looking at the Blitz instructions. Who has fitted one of these induction kits before, are they fairly straight forward?
-
Thanks guys, I will defiantly be looking at getting some RCA's then in the near future. I'm skint now, especially after ordering a shark fin and induction kit off Fensport Someone stop me buying stuff I don't need haha. To be honest I wont be putting my car on the track, its mainly for a bit of fun on road. I've mainly concentrated on the looks, which some of you will hate me for. There is a lot of stretch to the rear tyres, as mentioned the back end loves to kick out more now so I'm guessing this is a contributing factor. But the ride quality at the moment is spot on, it is actually comfier than my wifes A4 which is lowered 35mm, crazy. But I suppose I need to come along to a meet to see what your cars feel like. The wife said NO to me re-concreting the driveway, I did try but she isn't having it hahaha. I'm getting it raised about 8mm this afternoon so I can park the car off the road at night. I was going to do it myself, but tweeks are doing it on the house for me. I knew wearing high heels and my mankini would get me a few freebies

I forgot to mention, the ride at the moment is fairly soft. Not what I was expecting, I was expecting the dashboard to disintegrate and the wing mirrors to fall off. But instead it's a very pleasant drive, even when thrashing it along the country lanes. The only issue I have with the coilovers is the fact that Its just too low to park on my inclined driveway, with the bottom scrapping along , so its now parked on the road which I'm not too happy about. So that is the only reason why I'm lifting it by 10mm :-/

I was about to say that we will have to compare sizes, but it just felt to weird haha
-
I'm definitely raising it around 10mm this weekend, but no I don't have any RCA's. To be honest I have never even heard of them. Do they help with the handling I assume? Money is slightly tight at the moment, so I may have to leave these for a while, could running at this current height without RCA's damage anything? The camber is around -2.0 and the tyres are 225/40 rears and 215/40 fronts To be honest the rear 9.5's like to slide a lot more than the original wheels, definitely no increase in understeer. Yea lets be honest the exhaust tips are all for show, I turned into a child when being asked how big I wanted them, "As big as you can make them", I'm probably making up for my small.... hands. I guess I will need a Sprintex SC in the near future to justify the size of them I have been looking at a HFC to be honest, as I am slight concerned about the police pulling me over, especially as I live and work down the road from a VOSA depot! Appreciate the advise, I will use it wisely. Ha yes Jamie, will definitely have to take a trip out, as you can see a few of them pictures are taken on the horse shoe pass. God those roads are fun!! Let me know next time your free.

The Rota Grids in white look tidy!! I was going to go for Gunmetal but there was limited colors in stock as well. So gold was actually my second choice, but very happy with the end result. Don't you fancy the 9.5s on the rear? Haha 50mm is too much to be honest mate, I now can't park on my drive and If the road if slightly uneven I panic.. I may need to raise a few mm.... not sure as I love the look. Practicality VS Looks

I've just managed to take these, the guy who made and fitted the exhaust has taken some photos of the build and will send to me next week.
-
Cheers guys The manifold fitting has now been put off until next week so I will do a quick video this weekend of the current exhaust, sound etc

Hi Tom, I'm looking at getting these coilovers, do you know the maximum they can be lowered approx?

Macclesfield Mini Meet - Friday 12th September 2014
adamj29 replied to Keethos's topic in Social Meets
I'm keen for the Friday, can head over for midday ish if that works. Ahh Destiny, holidays spent well! Lunch sounds cracking -
I'm back from Scotland on Thursday now, so can meet up anytime on the Friday 12th, just let me know
-
Haha I don't follow football mate, so you don't have to worry
-
Wheyy, sounds good Well it's about a 5 hr drive so may not be there until mid afternoon. I'll check with the 'boss' and keep you updated. The only problem is I might not be in the GT86 as we are traveling in the Diesel A4, MPG and all that. I'll see how skint I am haha.

I like the black roof idea Keith! It splits up the white nicely and the custom rim paint job! I would defiantly like to hear your exhaust before buying as you can never truly tell what it is will sound like based on a Youtube video. I'm off to Scotland on the 9th Sept with the wife but should be heading back on the 12th Sept down to Chester so that may well work out perfect as Macc is on the way back. Cheers Japan must of been amazing! Not jealous at all Yea exploded in amazement and now confusion as there are so many ideas in my head! Those Work Equip 03 alloys are gorgeous. There is a guy across from me who makes custom aluminium exhausts so may have a quick chat with him now. Cheers for all the help and inspiration everyone, muchas gracias

Thanks all, Lauren I was thinking of going to the show at Tatton Park actually but not sure If I can make it this weekend. A NW meet sounds like a plan! I do like the aggressive tone from the Cobra, but my opinions are all based on youtube videos which is not ideal. A friend has mentioned that Quicksilver do an exhaust: http://www.quicksilverexhausts.com/Toyota-GT86-and-Subaru-BRZ---Sport-Exhaust-System-(2012-on)-_TOYOTA_816_productbulletin.htm But again I'm probably throwing another spanner into the works. I think its the Cobra res for me, I do like a loud exhaust but maybe not to the extent of setting car alarms off haha. I need to take the car first into my local dealer for a service, and to check on a loud ticking noise that the car makes when warming up, it doesn't sound right...hmmm I've wanted a white car for a while Rob, I had a white van but it just didn't have the same effect as a car I will take my time with the modding, which is very difficult as I am incredibly impulsive and wreckless when it comes to spending money on cars. Kevin enjoy the exhaust, which one did you go for? Keethos, what wheels do you have? They look mighty fine!!
