For Sale - Wide Body AVO Turbo'd GT86 **PRICE DROPPED AGAIN**
adamj29 posted a topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
As some of you know, I'm looking at selling my wide bodied GT86. It's a highly modified wide bodied, turbo charged GT86. A real head turner, which has done it's rounds at many a car show, car magazines and has been transformed over the last 2 years into something very special. It is a 62 plate Toyota GT86, 35,000 miles with a full service history. The car was completely standard when I bought it over 3 years ago, and all the work that has been carried out, has been done my specialists in the field, with a lot of the receipts. The car has been turbo charged by Fensport, with a AVO stage 3 turbo kit, complete with uprated fuel pump, fuel injectors, 3" AVO exhaust system, oil cooler and P1 Boost gauge. Currently running at 323bhp, the power to weight ratio makes it a handful. The Rocket Bunny V1 style kit, was custom made for the build, and has been professionally fitted, completely sealed, and splash guards fitted. The golden anodized aluminium bolts, fitted with riv-nuts (the way they should be done) set off the colour theme, complementing the Work Meister M1 Alloy wheels, custom made, with a high negative offset. Since the engine has been modified with the AVO system, it has been serviced every 5000 miles, and only been run on Millers Oil and Shell V-Power fuel. The last service a few months ago, included uprated HKS Grade 10 Spark Plugs being fitted, and braided brake lines. The Airrex air system kit was installed, complete with management system, and wireless remote, this is a £5000 kit which is one of the best available, and hasn't done more than 600 miles since it was fitted. Yeah the US forum are the best place for advise on spec for wide body kits. Other than the standard cutting / grinding and welding required to fit the arches, I needed extensive modifications to be carried out to the front arches as there was too much negative offset on them. They eventually fitted. My wheel specs are: Front - 18 x 9.5 ET -36 Rear - 18 x 10.5 ET -47 The rear wheels needed around -5.5 camber to get them to fit. So if you want to use it for the track, or as a practical car then go for more positive offset. But at least you know the limitations of what can be used.

Ahh cheers for the good words mate. I've just been offered a good deal on another car, so I'm looking at selling my 86 asap. I've just dropped the price by £2,000 to £24,995 to help with this. Good luck with your build if this does go though -

The main road (leading to the train station) has parking either side of it, and has loads of free spaces usually. So that's our best bet. Other than that there is a small car park around the back, but that never usually has any spaces. And it is rather cosy.

Hey Everyone, I've finally got around to doing some decent modifications to my GT86 and thought I'd share some pictures with you wonderful people, and possibly have some feedback on your thoughts. First Mod was to change the exhaust system, I went for a custom build as there is a guy local to me who is A*, I had the exhaust fitted a few weeks ago and it sounds fantastic, second CAT delete. I'm having a custom manifold being made and fitted tomorrow / Friday ready for the weekend so will try and get some more pictures and videos up on here with the finished product. Only problem is I'm loosing the primary CAT, but he is modifying the system to allow me to bolt the CAT on (when necessary). This should release a few more BHP!! The exhaust tips are 5" wide and fill the space lovely, some say too big but I guess its personal preference. IMG_3473.MOV My only fear is once the manifold is put on, how much louder will it get. This weekend I've bought some coilovers, ST XTA Coilovers with adjustable top mounts. And some Gold 18" Rota Grids (8.5" Front 9.5" Rear), its been dropped about 50mm all around. I may need to raise it slightly as It takes me about 20 mins to park on my drive hmmmmm. I'm now looking at getting the shark fin done, TRD spoiler and a few other bits and bobs. Any other recommendations? Btw this is my first proper post so I hope I'm doing it right and all the pictures work lol.

That was a good one, I'll give you that 😂 I used the HKB boss kit. Really easy to fit to be fair. Yeah Lauren, you can get the cruise control to fit, just takes a bit of DIY. It requires a remap, I had mine done at Fensport when having the turbo fitted. I have to now push the accelerator to the floor and press the heated windscreen button to change maps. I feel like James Bond everytime. 😉

I did indeed. Makes it a pain to change the map on the car,but love the feel of the nardi steering wheel. definitely recommend it.

I went for the Perrin plate holder, from Tarmac Sportz

Been a while since I've done an update. Not a lot has happened as such with the build. A few decals have been applied for extra bhp, and I've been messing around with the suspension set up. She's also been featured in this months Banzai magazine. As I've been attending a number of car shows, I seem to be continually altering the ride height. Low for the show and then raise it up for daily use. As much as I love my coilovers, I am rather tempted by the ease of air suspension. This would make it would so much easier, as most of you know the car isn't set up for the track, I seem to be enjoying the show scene at the moment. Although after speaking to a representative of Air Lift Performance at FittedUK last weekend, It's very interesting to see how far their management systems have come over the past few years. Food for thought. Here are a few pictures of the last few shows and a few from Banzai:
