I kinda recoiled and grinned at the same time haha I think I like it

Fairly sure Captain G said he'd ordered elsewhere...

I'm thinking the same as you Keethos. If doing it is going to take away a lot of the n/a fun I might not bother until I've got a tubby hooked up. At least I'll have some nice OZ wheels for the time being
-
Looks like we need to find another 7 people at the moment then.
-
Echo what Keethos said, especially if the car is N/A as I may look to swap out my wheels after a little while and would need 9.5 for the concave look (GTRs).

Loving the badges!

If it's a big open space, I'd be impressed if someone managed to crash. Could be fun. I'd be well up for the meet.

I can't deny that for NA engines a panel filter is usually better. However, I'm a bit of a bling man and I love the look of the blitz filter and secondly, I will need open induction in the long run for what I want. A closed airbox muffles sound Apologies for the minor thread hijack

I thought the pipe was part of the kit, fml that is expensive lol. Looking at Rich's pic makes me feel better about it though.

+1 Spec K, if you're bringing music into it I'm not voting for you

How long do you plan to keep your 86/BRZ?
Ztox replied to griffinnn's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I should have mine 8+ years. It'll probably be about 3 years before I turbo it and that'll keep things fresh. -
This. I do think we'd be better off without them (similar stance to Rob) but they shouldn't cause me any problems as I'm normally closer to 60 than 70.

Toyota GT86 Aero vs Subaru WRX STi & SEAT Leon Cupra
Ztox replied to GT86-Ian's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Very odd comparison. That Leon is disgusting. -
Thanks for the info. I thought that might be the case Captain.

Hi Guys, I signed up to another forum also but thought I'd say hi here as this seems like the "proper drivers' club" I confirmed my order of a pearl white aero with full leather last week and have been given an ETA of mid-April, it's going to be one long wait! My 'last' car was a Megane R26 which I sold towards the end of 2013 and I'm currently driving a 2001 Focus 1.6 that my mate (who isn't interested in cars) sold me as a runaround for a few hundred quid a few months ago. I was going to look at importing either a Supra or, more likely, an S15 Silvia as my goal was to go RWD. I started looking at GT86s again though when getting a new car became more appealing than getting one that's at least 12/13 years old with minimal history. When it was announced last year that the Aero pack was coming to the UK there was only one option of car in my mind and here I am. I did take one out on a test drive to give it a chance to put me off but it blew my mind quite frankly lol. Looking forward to getting involved a lot more once I have the car in my hands As a side, has anyone had any experience with Toyota's smart cover and wheel & tyre insurance? Are they a total waste of money or...? Maybe worth getting if one has OCD? Cheers guys Dan

Will the price still be the same? I was probably going to look at getting the smoked rears so would need these at some point to go with them. I haven't got my car yet so I'd rather not, but if there aren't 10 others I could probably commit early to ensure I can get hold of some easily. Speaking of the smoked rears, are these still okay or might there be a similar situation? They were probably going to be the first things I buy for the car.

Was great to see some of you and also great to get a ride in a couple of tuned ones (thanks Rob/Maz)

Think I may have to get myself some of these in the future

I didn't know people went there tbh, will habe to check it out. I haven't been to any since I sold my R26 which was about a year and a half ago now but the Asda and accompanying shops by Colchester train station was always a common spot, Harlow being another. Quite often it'd finish off with everyone moving on to a 'secret' location which would be revealed on the night. Just as you said though, I've never seen any trouble at any of them despite what the newspapers used to want you to believe. When I've seen police at Colchester ones they've usually been okay with it, just making sure people don't cause any mischief and on occasions walking around, having a look themselves. This is going to sound awful but I'm actually looking forward to a few Southend trips if people still go down there

I wish I lived closer to this, looks absolutely epic!! As James said though, some okay roads round this way if you look in the right places
