Unexpected things you like about the GT86
Polishingpedlar replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I like that when I do my big drives (generally to compete in TSS rounds) it is really comfortable. No back pain and I jump out feeling as fresh as when I got in. Also like the heated seats that have two settings and the fact it's a fairly rare sight on the roads around my way. -

Just been out for yet another drive for no reason

Do it! You won't regret it... Plus you've still got the rest of the day for domestic duties..or a snooze watching the telly(my preferred choice). -
Rally armour mud flaps Yay or nay?

It's different, quite like the rally look. Hasn't been done by many so will be individual. -
Just been out for yet another drive for no reason
Polishingpedlar replied to trashy's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I get up early to miss the traffic, go for a blast just for fun and then home for a wash and a wax... Can't think of another car I've done that in since I passed my test all those years ago. -
Sounds like the ends is in sight! Look forward to seeing it soon mate.

Best Way To Run In New GT86...
Polishingpedlar replied to James Hilton's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
What^^^^Lauren said. Did the same with all my bikes too. Mine Always went quicker than my mate who would treat his like a sheet of glass until it was run in. No reliability issues either. -

I only joined for the biscuits. And crisps. It's a good investment as often Alec bring doughnuts too. -

welcome to the club. Cleaning can be fun but I'm sure you'll enjoy driving it more! I used to be OCD when it comes to cars but the GT sorts that out.... Can't stop driving mine, any excuse and its out for a drive! Have fun -
Welcome to the club Carver! Any plans to get on track? Loads of us do and it's great fun! Hope to see you sideways soon! Jon

Welcome Camilz, Good choice of car! There is a great club scene and the drivers club always seems to have something going on somewhere! Enjoy the car.. John

Had a run in with a deer on Thursday night! Not in the GT though. Was charging down a trail on my mountain bike only to find a deer in the middle of the track. It legged it but in the same direction as I was riding. We spent the next twenty or so seconds racing until the trail opened up and he turned sharp right and jumped a fence!

Glad you've got your car back Keith! Would love a passenger lap at Woodbridge! See you there.

After careful consideration and previous posts( thank guys and girls) I have decided on future security measures. No tracker... Seems they can be over ridden by the pro thieving scumbags. So extra security at home instead. New garage door with garage alarm system. Keys hidden at night. My old disc lock from my Cossie days and one other secret hidden measure. Should ease the worry.

There seems to be an increase in the theft of our beloved cars so as my insurance is up for renewal this month I'm thinking about getting a Tracker fitted. Does anyone have one fitted or can recommend one to buy? Obviously this is a sensitive subject for a public forum but ant info appreciated
-
I wouldn't be fitting it for insurance reasons as my insurance is next to nothing (old git). I just want to keep the car. And yes I would want it back as the car means a lot to me.
-
Some good info there Rob. Thanks. Will look into insurance requirements and report back......

Welcome to the Drivers Club fan, I'm in Wokingham area of Berkshire so not a million miles away. A mini meet sounds a good idea people! Does anyone go to the Jap meet at Reading? Not been myself but it's every month on a Tuesday night.
