Great write up and lovely beads sir. [emoji1319] -
You mean the 215bhp and 171lbft for the baseline figures weren't a giveaway? [emoji6] You would think so but seeing as dynos are all different the figures alone cannot be 100% trusted.

That graph is not for a standard car though is it? No torque dip etc.

Wanted - Aero Rear Spats

Try Injection Imports. They have got hard to get parts for me in the past. Just give them the part number. -
I was thinking maybe some sort of support welded in place maybe?

It's a really easy and cheap fix as i had mine done about 2yrs ago, it cost me £10 and 5 mins to fix at silver systems in Leek What was the fix?

Could you not get it replaced and sell the new one? [emoji16]

I found this last time I looked.

I don't think Mark got as far as actual testing, so we don't know the results. It seems that most opt for an aftermarket manifold rather than decatting the original which does involve some fabrication. So I don't think it was popular enough to warrant taking further by the looks of it. The one I saw on FT86 the cat was just smashed and no fabrication was needed. I'm thinking if you get around 70% of the gains of aftermarket for free then there isn't much case for paying £800 for the extra 30% for a road car. Track would be different.

To compare my graph with Lauren's it seems to me that the stock manifold ain't that bad, it's just that there is a CAT in the way. I'd love to see a gutted stock CAT properly tuned graph compared to an aftermarket manifold.

It's only between 3k-4K revs. Drive one and you won't even notice it as depending what you want to do you should be in the correct gear. This my graph to compare with the others. K&N panel filter, full Milltek exhaust, stock manifold and remap. The dip is mostly still there but not much difference in peak figures

I'm sure they will replace it. It's not happened over night and if it's been serviced by Toyota they should have check for it. If they missed it then that's their fault. This will turn out on every 86 probably so will be a recognised design fault.

I just have the aerosol can. You can just spray it on or onto a rag and wipe it on. I used it on the engine instead of the green gunk. I'm up for doing the underneath of the car but not had chance to get it in the air.

Could you be bothered??? Doesn't affect how it works.

Thanks for highlighting this problem. Just cleaned mine out. Slight signs of rusting but nothing for concern. Treated the metal parts with ACF 50 to stop any more.
