    Yeah not bad at around £190 but then there is shipping and import tax. And the aftercare will be none existent.

    I may well do. I think I need to hear one to see how annoying the whine is to me. The 4.556 being OEM is going to be quieter. Yep best to try one out first. It's not that noticeable when you have an aftermarket exhaust and it's only at light rev increases.

    Just go for the 4.67. There is only around 2% difference in performance and as you say a lot cheaper.

    All credit to you for the graphs. Very interesting. In the real world that has corners in it the extra torque is of more advantage when exiting and the timing of gear changes has more significance. For track use there is a harder decision to make. For road it's easier. It's faster.

    Hi All. Was looking at this thread... http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96235 .. where they have just gutted the cats and tuned the car basically. The results look around 80% of a replacement header but at a fraction of the cost. Also almost deleting the torque dip. Has anyone done this over here? What are your thoughts? Cheers.

    Yes it is noticeable. It's only at light revs on the pedal. The better the fit the less the whine but you can never get rid of it. It's due to the square cut tips instead of rounded ones. I've got to like it now. Yes it sounds sort of electric. Any other noise like your music though will easily disguise it.

    I've got the 4.67 and I will guarantee it's quicker acceleration than stock over those speeds. 4.44 wouldn't be worth the cost.

    Why's it not possible? As Mike said above, run the OEM 2nd cat, or find one that works well. If stock turbo Scoobies can pass MOT then there's no reason we shouldn't have a config that's both legal and doesn't steal a ton of power. I can understand that the piping might not be ideal sized for a turbo application but people make good power on SC cars with stock cats. The reason why I said I didn't know if it was possible was because I really don't know if it is possible [emoji1] Just that they all seem to be catless.

    Mine is over 12 months now and is fine. Mike at TD checked it on its last service a few weeks ago. Just so you know it's between the pipe and the muffler.

    Just wondering, have you blocked the noise generator tube? I had the same sort of thing after fitting my Milltek system and found plugging the tube helped quite a bit. You don't need anything special, I just plugged mine up with the 12v cigarette lighter cap from the glovebox. Good shout I did that to come to think of it as you don't need both.

    Mine is a manual with 4.67. I don't think you'd notice the 4.44 enough to warrant the cost.

    Don't know about the 2017 model but I've got the 4.67. It's a great mod. I wouldn't bother with the 4.44. It wouldn't be enough.

    Are the tips out past the body enough? It did make a difference. More foam = less noise. The noise from the tyres drowns out the exhaust note whilst cruising I find.
