Yeah was very easy. Just pull back the grey carpet wherever you want and spray glue the foam to the exposed metal body. I think a trip to the doctors might be of more use! Surely it isn't that loud or droney. ?

Cheers Mark. The one on the thread just smashed the cat in and didn't replace with a straight pipe. Don't suppose you've got any plots?
-
I think you should be fine. I got some sound deadening foam from eBay and lined the boot and under the rear seats. Was to reduce the road noise but it's an option for you to tone it down further if you sill find it irritating.

Found the thread but no update on it for nearly 2yrs. I've PMd him to have a look at this and share his thoughts.

I had the grooved stoptechs on my last car. As above slightly different noise but nothing to speak of through the pedal.
-
Mark at Abbey motorsport did it for him few years ago. I'm tempted as it doesn't appear to add too much noise. Cheers. I don't think the noise would be too much difference. I've got a resonated Milltek anyway so won't be too loud.

I've got the secondary cat off the car but can replace come MOT time. All I'd have to do is get the map adjusted I suppose.

Just ordered front and rear Cosworth Streetmaster pads £160 inc next day delivery from Partbox. Was going for DS2500 but these were a lot cheaper. I've run both on my Type R civic and couldn't tell the difference and half the price. [emoji4]

I thought Mtec discs had a bad write up?

I'm in the same boat. Had lines and fluid done a month or so ago on last service. Just waiting for the stubborn OEM pads to wear down. I'm probably going with Ferrodo DS 2500 pads and sticking with OEM discs till they need changing.

I've always used Bilt Hamber. It is good stuff as already said. But this time around I used a Farecla clay mitt which I was impressed with. Use a clean bucket of shampoo for the lube and it takes about a quarter of the time.

For Sale OEM Front & Rear Mud Flaps

Still got these? -
Mine runs noticeably quieter and smoother on Vpower than Momentum. I've tried a few tanks back to back now just to check I wasn't imagining it. You also get better rewards with the Shell card which offsets the higher cost a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Will the brakes be too powerful for the tyres? Stock size are naf. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is it the rear black plastic splitter? It's very flimsy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In the market for a exhaust system - One that isn't too loud!

Got me worried now what my non resonated gonna sound like! [emoji51][emoji51] As soon as you move off the cold start retard cancels and the volume drops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Resonated Milltek is good for me. Not too loud but sounds good n' deep. Not had any issues with mine one year on and it was checked last week. I actually don't mind the prospect of getting a new system every time it fails [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Not for me thanks. It's loud as it is and removing secondary cat would be unbearable. Anyway, the manifolds removed the dip so it feels way better than the numbers suggest. I'm happy as-is for the moment - until the urge to go for FI takes hold. [emoji6] Just get a resonated pipe. But like you say. It's not about numbers it's how it drives. [emoji1303] I deleted the torque dip by never being in it [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Does it still have a nice sound on start up and idle? Yeah nice deep sound. Plenty of clips on YouTube. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's the same set up as mine is yours non resonated ? Resonated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stock secondary cat kills a lot of power. best idea would be getting that replaced. +1. Get a delete pipe then have it mapped again. One map for complete decat and one with 2nd cat for MOT. [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here is my dyno sheet from TDev. Full Milltek exhaust with 2nd cat delete and K&N panel filter. Gives you an idea. As said before stock power reads around 185-190. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
