  1. 1st post, but this is also me. My car is 100% stock, but from all the reading I've done, a replacement manifold would solve the one issue the car has form the factory. I also live in Warrington [emoji4] And create another at MOT time.

To decat or not to decat

Cheapest way is to drive around the dip. It doesn't take much effort. Or changing the final drive will give you more torque to play with and it will still pass an MOT.

    Custom Trimmed Steering Wheel

I can recommend this for treating all the leather in the car. It also gets rid of the shine if you work it in. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/dr-leather-liquid-cleaner.html

    Hi from up north

Welcome. I'm with you on the gear box. I came from a Civic type r and the shift was rifle bolt precise. Still I love this car more.

    Decision made :-)

Aren't the holes in different positions?

    Wrapped dash panels.

Yeah do it! It's too cheap not to.

Was looking at various options to replace the head unit surround and the dash panel but most are quite expensive. So the power of YouTube and eBay combined to make me have a shot at wrapping them in faux carbon. I've never done it before but it was quite easy. Only took an hour and cost £15 including these TRD stickers. Not sure which one to put in the corner. Was thinking White TRD OR red and white with with racing development on it. Hmmm.

    Finished of with a sticker.

I did, but it still lifted up in the corners, I'll give them another try, my first attempted did better but don't know if it was because of a better wrap or something. Just heat it with the hair dryer, stretch it and hold it in place while it cools. Should be fine then. I've got at least 1cm behind the panel and more where I could.

Matches my blag TRD knob. [emoji1]

You're supposed to wrap behind it a little which will stop it lifting. I did mine in brushed metal, makes it look a bit more high end IMO. I saw the brushed metal. Really nice. I'm going for the faux TRD version of the one they sell. The beauty is it only took me an hour to do so its easy to change when you get bored of it.

I like it. Here is a mop and bucket.

I didn't realise it but the old pattern is a vinyl wrap too.

    Wrapped dash panels.

They are a bit fiddly but I wrapped as much as I could around the back to stop it pealing.

You can get loads of different colours of vinyl wrap. I did consider white but plumped for the carbon in the end while it was my first attempt.

    Lauren's GT86 100K miles and onwards

So many variables on dynos getting the same bhp on two separate days is just pure coincidence. It's best just to concentrate on what you gained on the day. I'd expect no more than what you gained on an NA tune. They don't make loads of power, I'd view it as making the car use the mods to their best effect and transforming the car to the best it can be with the given parts. The extras like launch etc are just a nice bonus. So the million dollar question. Is it worth the cost as this would be my next step.

I take it that 205 from the factory is with the mani and catback in place though. How was the torque increase?
  20. Also for those who don't know whatever extra torque you add through engine mods, the FD will add 14%.
  21. I did a test run before exhaust and FD fit (otherwise stock) 2nd @30mph then through the gears to 90mph. Totally stock 13sec FD and Milltek exhaust 11sec No ecu tune.
  22. I've got 4.67 on my daily. It's fine if not better. More usable torque in higher gears for easier overtaking with no shift down. It's a great mod. 4.44 might not be as noticeable vs cost.

Looking forward to the results. Make sure you get the dyno chart on here [emoji1303]
