Hi guys. its been a pretty mad few months, and not had a chance to get on the forums for a long time The move to the new premises is now complete, and the dyno is just being installed right now, and will be up and running next week. We now have a 10,000+ sq ft unit with much nicer showroom / customer waiting area, complete with Xbox driving seat. More ramps, more efficient dyno area, and loads more room for the all important stock. We used to use the 0845 number, but are phasing this our with the mobile companies wanting to charge more and more for them. You can reach us on 01582 664 735, or my direct dial number is 01582 945650. I'd like to apologise about my lack of time on here, and any questions or enquiries that may have been missed, but i'm back and with the new unit now all ready to go looking forward to a good 2018. open day details to follow in the next few weeks

got it Rob........thanks for the order :-) -
Ok, so 3rd October looks like the most popular date, and should be doable from our side with how the hub dyno is coming along. There hopefully will also be a selection or "experts" on hand to talk about some of the products available. Deffo Go-karting, great track in the dry, and quite challenging in the wet My exhaust at present is Cosworth Stage 1.1 It will be great to keep it mainly '86 / BRZ, but as word gets around there is going to be a bunch of various other marques that will make an appearance i'm sure ! cheers James

there's always a deal to be had

Before we start the big build, we wanted some std figures to work from, car made 179.4hp.......don't know if I'm surprised or not at the lack of power from a car only a couple of years old. The car was weighed with all fluids topped up, fuel, coolant, window washer fluid etc. Everything was taken out of the car, we even emptied the glove box! results below : The car was weighed with all fluids topped up, fuel, coolant, window washer fluid etc. Everything was taken out of the car, we even emptied the glove box! results below :

Cosworth Stage 1.0 installed. AP86 Std Power - 179.4hp Cosworth Stage 1.0 - 195.9hp (+16.5hp gain) Cosworth quote a +15hp gain.

Valenti rear lights installed

sorry, not had a chance to get on here for a while we are based in Dunstable, Beds.
-
that looks like the APR GT-250 rear wing if im not wrong ? looks awesome ! here is a link to the roof panel on our site.......if anyone wants more detailed pics, please email me.....or pop down :-) http://www.amber-performance.co.uk/product.php?xProd=25356&xSec=8504

Seibon do 2 roof panels. a dry carbon replacement, and a wet carbon roof cover. We opted for the roof cover that is bonded on, the main reason we decided on this option so all the carbon would match all over the car. a dry carbon roof with all other panels gloss would look a bit odd ! http://www.amber-performance.co.uk/section.php?xSec=8504&xPage=1 cheers James

perfectly :-) the body shop were really impressed with the fit of it all. the rear diffuser was a bit of a pig to fit as the bumper has to come off, apart from that all went straight on. cheers James
-
ok, so we have the car back with all the first stage of body mods complete. there will be a few small additions, but here she is with the following fitted : APR Performance front lip APR Performance side skirts APR Performance rear bumper spats APR Performance rear diffuser APR Performance wing vents APR Performance GTC-200 rear wing Seibon Carbon FA style bonnet Seibon Carbon roof panel Seibon Carbon rear fin spoiler Seibon Carbon CSL style boot lid Cheers James

there are a few options of Oil cooler out there. in the case of Mishimoto theirs uses specific mounting brackets, and some specific stacked plate spacers to fit the sandwich plate correctly. the universal 19 row mishimoto oil cooler is £324, and the "GT86 specific" kit is £450.00. so you are paying an additional £126 for the ease of having all the correct parts in one box........it depends really on how good you are at making the brackets etc. some will have the facilities, others are not so lucky :-) oh and we have the mishimoto oil coolers in stock if it helps cheers James

would love to but my dogs too fat to fit in the boot

yes bolt the spacer to the hub, and bolt the wheel to the spacer. if you have std wheels, these do have recesses in them, so you should find they drop straight on. that's a much easier option that taking the front hubs off to put in the longer studs.
-
you have to be careful on some of the smaller spacers that have the studs inserted in them, as the OE studs can stick out past the face of the new spacer, meaning the wheel cannot sit flush on the new spacer. you will need to make sure the wheel you have has recesses in the back to take the studs in, or you may have to cut the OE studs down. here is a link to all the options Eibach do : http://www.amber-performance.co.uk/section.php?xSec=8579&xPage=1 cheers James
