So I’ve got my GT86 and it’s out of it manufacturers warranty, it’s got RAC platinum warranty, but these scratches have started showing up now, is this something Toyota would still sort out without me having to pay out of pocket for it?

So I got in the car this morning and found the rear view mirror glass on the passenger seat, leaving the adhesive on a shiny cellophane-like sheet on the mount. Note that this is not the windscreen attachment, but just the reflective glass bit. For at least a year I've noticed a little marking around the bottom edges a bit like corrosion or something. Must have been detaching glue! I can get by on wing mirrors for the short term, but I've never seen this happen before and I'm a bit surprised. Car only 3 years old. I presume the warranty claim will be fairly straightforward.

Hello, My Wife took her GT86 to Berkshire Toyota today as it has that occasional oil burning smell due to leaking plate on engine. I also told her to mention the RH rear light which I notice has a bit on misting up when the car gets wet. She's just text me saying that she was told that the lights are not apparently covered after 3 years (car registered Sept 2013) and that they will only reseal the plate if the car has been serviced as per the schedule, and can not even have 1000 miles over the point it should have been serviced. I thought it was an annual service? So can't understand what they meant about the mileage? She didn't take the SH documentation with her unfortunately. Is this normal or should I take it somewhere else?

Evening all, I was wondering what everyones experience is with Warranty jobs? The scenario is I've booked my 2012 GT86 in at Toyota as I've got a few issues: Fogging up/condensation in the rear lights Key light flashing orange with bleep every now and then when I get out the car. Random starting issues (takes a while to start sometimes, requires some attention from the throttle to get going) I cant put the passenger window down with the switch on the drivers door. When I open the Drivers door, the window pops down as normal. When I shut it, it doesn't pop back up! Meaning I have to go around the passenger side before I switch the ignition off to lean over and fully close the window! Now I bought the car used with 2 years warranty still remaining on it back in September. Does anyone think they will try and wiggle out of the above issues? I've heard of other manufactures long warranties not being worth the paper they're written on. It's a bit annoying that I've bought a new-ish car with warranty to try and dodge niggly problems and it's exactly what I've got! It's also annoying that they cant fit me in until the 25th to look at it, but if they're busy I cant really do much about it. Any other advice about working with Toyota to get these issues resolved is appreciated. I realise this is a bit of a "Non-Problem" but knowing my luck, it can only get worse ! haha. Cheers.
