Keethos 842 Report post Posted August 16, 2014 As some of you may know, I'll be up in Macclesfield at the RRG Toyota dealership getting my car serviced on Friday 12th September. Since I am up in the area and I know there are a few people up in the North West on here who are interested in meeting up, I thought I'd post up a separate thread to see who else would be interested in joining us for a mini meet around the Macclesfield area? I'm due in to get my car serviced around 11am and I'll be there for a couple of hours (not saying people have to meet up at 11 as it'll be just me waiting around RRG until it's done), we could meet up somewhere, maybe grab a spot of late lunch somewhere and then possibly have a cruise around Lauren's Triangle? If those who are interested in meeting up please put your name down just so people have an idea of who's turning up and any other ideas or suggestion are most welcome. I was gonna do it on the way up to visit family in Cumbria but that went t*ts up, so I'm making the journey to my favourite tubby technician before JAE.... Special K 442 Report post Posted August 21, 2014 So - my car is confirmed at RRG on Weds 03 September at 12.30... Lauren and Mark (?) plus Alec plus Rich/Paula and me for foooood in the evening. Roast vole's giblets en croute, anyone..? (I am taking this really seriously... I've even arranged for my engine bay to be cleaned!! first time in 25,000 miles!) Hopefully it'll be before the 3rd but if it does work out that i'm around then i'll be up for coming out. I'd already planned to spend at least a day / night in Macc when I pick my car up. Spec K I will,but I also don't want to drive 5+ hours up there in a Yaris to then turn around and come back for another 5 odd hours. So even an over night Premier Inn might be beneficial. I might be in Walsall Wednesday which is only an hour and a half from Macclesfield so I might just venture up for a quick visit....if you are still going to be up there that is. My car needed a new part which wasn't able to be tested / checked before we got it back on the road. If i'm around Friday keith i'll let you know and we can go out for something to eat / meet up or something. Touch and go at the moment as to when I''m picking the car up. My service is actually the Friday after JAE, Special K Keith was going to pop up next Wednesday then drive down to JAE the next day i.e. Thursday. I was just enquiring if this was still happening with his VVTI issue coming to surface. I'll be heading down LANDAN on Friday for Rob's BBQ....you still coming to that?
